Data Scientist driving AI and data defense solutions for DHS, integrating structured and unstructured data from FinCEN, open‑source, geospatial and SIGINT sources to support fusion cell operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy machine learning models to analyze and fuse structured and unstructured data sets, including FinCEN, open‑source intelligence, geospatial, and SIGINT feeds.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary analysts (All‑Source, GEOINT, SIGINT, forensic accounting, cryptocurrency experts) to design data pipelines and analytical workflows.
- Perform advanced data cleaning, feature engineering, and statistical analysis to uncover actionable insights for homeland security missions.
- Create visualizations and dashboards that communicate complex findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Maintain data integrity, security, and compliance with active Top Secret clearance requirements.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python and related data science libraries (pandas, scikit‑learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch).
- Experience with SQL and relational database design for large‑scale data integration.
- Strong background in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data fusion techniques.
- Knowledge of geospatial analysis tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, GeoPandas) and handling of geospatial data formats.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a highly collaborative, security‑aware environment.
