Data Scientist, Guest & Host Product Data Science
As a Data Scientist in the Guest & Host Data Science organization at Airbnb, you will develop models, measurement frameworks, and data products to improve the Airbnb marketplace and user experience. This role involves building strong cross-functional relationships, contributing to data-driven products and models, and leveraging expertise in experimentation, causal analysis, and machine learning using Python, SQL, or R.
Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.
You will join a collaborative team of data scientists, analysts, engineers, product managers and designers who build innovative products for Airbnb guests and hosts. Your core team will consist of data scientists within the Guest & Host Data Science organization, who develop models, measurement frameworks, foundational data products, and intelligence to improve and shape Airbnb marketplace and product.
Under this general application, you will be considered for applications over several tracks.
As a data scientist on the team, you will directly impact the Airbnb user community and marketplace with the data products and insights you deliver. Your work may range from building models to understand the impact of supply and demand on marketplace outcomes, to applying causal inference methods to measure the impact of a new pricing guidance tool, to generating destination recommendations based on our understanding of guest travel preferences.
