About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy predictive models and analytical tools to inform federal student aid policies and operations.
- Extract, clean, and transform large datasets from multiple education‑related sources using SQL and Python/R.
- Perform statistical analyses and machine‑learning experiments to identify trends, risk factors, and opportunities for program improvement.
- Create clear visualizations, dashboards, and reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with program managers, IT specialists, and policy analysts to translate business needs into data‑driven solutions.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis and model development.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and validation.
- Experience with machine‑learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and evaluation techniques.
- Ability to communicate complex analytical findings to non‑technical audiences.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to work for the federal government.
