Role Description
This is a full time Data Scientist role located in London with flexibility for some remote work. The Data Scientist will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with data science, statistics, data analytics, data visualisation, and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Utilise advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to analyse large datasets and extract valuable insights.
- Develop predictive models, forecasting algorithms, and optimisation strategies to support decision-making processes and drive business outcomes.
- Design and implement data-driven solutions to automate and streamline business processes, improving efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, objectives, and success criteria, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and correlations that inform strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear visualisations, reports, and presentations.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, and identify opportunities for innovation and optimisation.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and security throughout the data lifecycle, adhering to best practices and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role, with a strong track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts, machine learning techniques, and data mining algorithms.
- Experience working with big data technologies and tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) is preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
