About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy predictive models to detect fraud, waste, and abuse in federal nutrition programs.
- Extract, clean, and transform large-scale structured and unstructured data using SQL and Python.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define analytical requirements and translate business objectives into data solutions.
- Communicate findings through dashboards, reports, and presentations to senior stakeholders.
- Maintain and improve data pipelines, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with federal regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data science or analytics, with a focus on fraud detection.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, SQLAlchemy) and SQL for data manipulation.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, model evaluation, and feature engineering.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
