Data Scientist responsible for statistical analysis, building predictive models, and delivering data‑driven insights using Python, SQL, and machine‑learning techniques to improve forklift and material‑handling product performance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Perform statistical analysis on large manufacturing and operational datasets to uncover trends and root‑cause insights.
- Develop, train, and deploy machine‑learning models that predict equipment performance, maintenance needs, and customer usage patterns.
- Create interactive dashboards and visual reports using tools such as Tableau or Power BI to communicate findings to product, engineering, and business teams.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to define data requirements, design experiments, and translate business problems into analytical solutions.
- Maintain data pipelines and ensure data quality by writing efficient SQL queries and leveraging cloud services (e.g., AWS S3, Redshift).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch) and strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
- Hands‑on experience with statistical modeling, machine‑learning algorithms, and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and version‑control systems (Git) for collaborative development.
