Data Scientist
Lead data science initiatives for insurance analytics, building predictive models and dashboards using Python, SQL, and AWS services to drive pricing and risk insights.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to support pricing, underwriting, and fraud detection.
- Extract, clean, and transform large datasets from internal and external sources using SQL and Python.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
- Build interactive dashboards and visualizations in Tableau to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Maintain model performance, monitor drift, and implement retraining pipelines on AWS.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data science or analytics within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, TensorFlow) and SQL.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (S3, SageMaker, Lambda).
- Strong statistical background and experience with supervised/unsupervised learning.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex findings to non‑technical audiences.
