We are currently recruiting for Data Scientists to join our growing team.

This Data Scientist role will be pivotal in the development of new applications of Data Science and Machine Learning, enhancing existing models, and developing new ones to enrich customer experiences and maximise the impact of data. Your work will directly enhance customer propositions using a variety of supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods and will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Data Science initiatives.

This is a highly collaborative role, offering opportunities to work with a wide range of teams to embed Data Science across the business. You will be working with a large and rich customer dataset, using a cloud-based data platform, and will have the opportunity to lead on improvements to our Data Science capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with key stakeholders (e.g., CXM, Product, Rewards, UX/CX) to identify ways that Data Science can convert business problems into a mathematical framework.
• Delivering any resulting data science projects, assessing data requirements, technical feasibility, and estimating the time to delivery.
• Contributing to growing the technical capabilities of the team and helping to promote a collaborative and dynamic culture.
• Partnering with ML Engineers to ensure that all models are put into production and deliver clear impact to the business.
• Working within cross-functional teams and delivering under an agile project-based framework.
• Communicating technical output and results to a non-technical audience in an engaging and impactful way.
• Proactively sharing your discoveries with the business and wider Data community.
• Innovating and driving improvements to ComparetheMarket data by contributing new ideas toward improving current solutions, processes, and unsolved business problems, directly feeding into our data strategy agenda and roadmap.

Requirements

• A passion and motivation for using Data Science to solve real-world customer problems.
• Demonstrable experience in end-to-end AI / machine learning model development.
• Proficiency in both Python & SQL.
• Outcome/impact focussed.
• Naturally curious and self-motivated learner.
• Effective communication skills with an appreciation for both the power and limits of data.
• Knowledge of AWS, Databricks or Spark would be beneficial.

About the Data Science Team

The Data Science team plays an essential role in personalising the customer experience and improving our commercial performance through predictive modelling and advanced analytics. The team utilises machine learning techniques to develop and implement end-to-end solutions, enlisting best practices across model design, development, and management. We have a large, rich customer database as well as a broad range of other data sources to explore and use a tech stack incorporating AWS Cloud, Databricks, Python, Spark, and SQL. Data Science is at the heart of business in CtM, with project teams centred around embedding our models into our everyday practices. This is a chance to make a real impact on the customer and the business.
