Experienced Data Scientist to design and implement predictive models and analytics pipelines that improve K‑12 curriculum effectiveness, leveraging Python, SQL, and cloud services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, train, and deploy machine‑learning models to predict student performance and personalize learning pathways.
- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Python and SQL on AWS infrastructure.
- Collaborate with product, curriculum, and assessment teams to translate educational goals into data‑driven solutions.
- Perform statistical analysis and A/B testing to evaluate the impact of new instructional content.
- Create clear visualizations and reports that communicate insights to non‑technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in data science or analytics, preferably in education technology.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch) and strong SQL querying skills.
- Solid understanding of statistical methods, experimental design, and model evaluation techniques.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerized deployment (Docker, SageMaker).
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to convey complex findings to diverse audiences.
