Navi is seeking a Data Scientist - 3 to lead and develop data science solutions for complex business problems. This role involves formulating business problems into data science challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams, defining and optimizing ML model quality metrics, and mentoring team members.

Navi is a company founded by Sachin Bansal (co-founder of Flipkart) to build consumer-centric & technology driven businesses in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services & Insurance) space. We are currently active in Lending, Insurance and Mutual Funds.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop data science solutions to solve complex business solutions
- Formulate business problems to data science problems
- Work cross functionally with business and engineering teams to drive data science initiatives
- Define right quality metrics for ML models and optimize them
- Mentor and provide feedback to team members
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or above in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or in a quantitative field with research bent of mind and have a minimum of 5+ years of experience
- Sound understanding of modern Machine learning techniques, mathematical underpinnings, and experienced in using different machine learning frameworks (sci-kit-learn, Keras, TF Spark, MLlib etc)
- Experience in using distributed computing platforms
- Strong programming skills (preferably in Python, Scala, etc)
- Experience in driving large scale machine learning learning problems end to end
