Data Scientist
Data Science Specialist responsible for building predictive models, analyzing retail data, and delivering actionable insights using Python, SQL, and cloud services to support a large European fashion retailer.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, train, and deploy machine‑learning models to forecast sales, inventory, and customer behavior across multiple European markets.
- Extract, clean, and transform large‑scale retail datasets from POS, ERP, and e‑commerce systems using SQL and Python.
- Design interactive dashboards and visual reports that translate complex analytics into clear business recommendations.
- Collaborate with merchandising, supply‑chain, and marketing teams to identify data‑driven opportunities and measure the impact of initiatives.
- Maintain and optimize data pipelines and model performance on cloud platforms such as AWS.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch) and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Hands‑on experience building and deploying production‑grade machine‑learning models.
- Solid understanding of statistical methods, A/B testing, and experimental design.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Plotly) and creating stakeholder‑focused dashboards.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS S3, EC2, SageMaker) and CI/CD pipelines for model automation.
