Lead a high‑impact fraud analytics team, designing and deploying machine‑learning models to detect application fraud in real time using Python, SQL and AWS services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a cross‑functional team of data scientists and engineers to build scalable fraud detection models for application processing.
- Design and implement end‑to‑end ML pipelines, from feature engineering to model deployment on AWS.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and risk teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Monitor model performance, conduct root‑cause analysis, and iterate to improve detection accuracy.
- Mentor junior scientists, promote best practices, and foster a culture of data‑driven decision making.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data science or machine‑learning roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and AWS services (SageMaker, Lambda, Redshift).
- Deep knowledge of fraud detection techniques, anomaly detection, and risk scoring.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience with real‑time data processing and scalable model deployment.
