Data Scientist
Lead a multidisciplinary data science and engineering team to develop scalable analytics, predictive models, and data pipelines that inform mental health research and clinical practice, using Python, SQL, AWS, and machine‑learning techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the data strategy for research and clinical programs, aligning analytics initiatives with organizational goals.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data scientists, data engineers, and analysts, fostering a collaborative, agile environment.
- Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and cloud infrastructure (AWS) to ingest, process, and store large‑scale health and education datasets.
- Develop and validate predictive models and statistical analyses that support evidence‑based interventions and treatment outcomes.
- Partner with clinicians, researchers, and product teams to translate data insights into actionable recommendations and product features.
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance with privacy regulations throughout the data lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data science or data engineering, with at least 2 years in a people‑management or lead role.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern machine‑learning libraries (e.g., scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Hands‑on experience building scalable data pipelines and deploying solutions on AWS (e.g., S3, Redshift, Lambda, EMR).
- Strong statistical background and ability to communicate complex findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross‑functional projects, prioritize work, and deliver high‑impact results in a fast‑moving environment.
