Lead enterprise data analytics, AI, and machine learning initiatives for the U.S. Army Reserve CIO, driving data‑driven decision making through advanced modeling, visualization, and governance while managing a hybrid team.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the strategy for enterprise‑wide data analytics, AI, and machine learning solutions supporting the U.S. Army Reserve CIO/G‑6.
- Lead a cross‑functional team to design, develop, and deploy predictive models, natural language processing pipelines, and advanced analytics dashboards.
- Establish data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and security controls to ensure compliance with DoD regulations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate mission requirements into scalable data products and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or custom web interfaces.
- Oversee cloud infrastructure (AWS) for data storage, processing, and model serving, ensuring high availability and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain higher clearance if required.
- 5+ years of experience in data science, AI/ML, and analytics leadership roles, preferably in defense or federal environments.
- Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (scikit‑learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch) and strong background in statistical modeling.
- Demonstrated expertise in data visualization, data governance, and cloud platforms (AWS).
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to senior military and civilian stakeholders.
