About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on AWS, leveraging services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, and EMR.
- Lead a team of data engineers, providing mentorship, code reviews, and career development.
- Define and enforce data quality, security, and governance standards across the platform.
- Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, production‑ready solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and alerting for data workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark for large‑scale data processing.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS data services (Glue, Redshift, EMR, Lake Formation).
- Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL best practices, and data governance.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
