Data Engineer
Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines on Kubernetes, leveraging Python, SQL, and cloud services to deliver reliable, high‑performance data infrastructure.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement containerized data services on Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python, SQL, and modern ETL frameworks.
- Automate deployment and configuration with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps practices.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization across cloud environments.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and DevOps teams to align platform capabilities with business needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Strong scripting skills in Python and proficiency with SQL databases.
- Hands‑on knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
- Fluent in German and English, with strong communication skills.
