We are seeking an experienced Data Manager — Treasury to help bring structure, clarity, and reliability to complex financial data environments. This role will focus on designing and managing data domains across treasury, finance, risk, and accounting functions while ensuring accurate and actionable insights for business stakeholders. You will work closely with finance and technology teams to translate business needs into effective data solutions and create trusted data foundations. The ideal candidate combines strong financial knowledge with hands-on data management expertise and thrives in environments where ambiguity requires ownership and problem-solving. You will play a key role in improving data quality, governance, and accessibility across critical financial operations. Accountabilities:
- Create and structure data domains across treasury, finance, risk, FP&A, and accounting, defining data ownership, business logic, and appropriate levels of granularity.
- Own end-to-end source-to-target mapping processes, including data extraction, transformation, enrichment, cleansing, and integration into reliable outputs.
- Partner with finance, treasury, and risk stakeholders to understand business requirements, clarify data needs, and translate them into clear technical specifications.
- Analyze complex financial concepts and ensure data models accurately reflect business realities, including management fees, receivables and payables, transaction details, ratings structures, and cash flow classifications.
- Improve data quality and reliability by identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Collaborate with technology teams and external partners to ensure successful delivery of data initiatives.
- Independently navigate complex data environments, identify priorities, and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.
- Support the development of scalable data practices that enable better decision-making across financial functions.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working with treasury, risk, accounting, or financial data within asset management, private equity, private credit, or related financial services environments.
- Strong experience creating, restructuring, and managing data domains, including source-to-target mapping, data cleansing, enrichment, and transformation.
- Deep understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles, with the ability to evaluate different definitions of metrics and identify the right data requirements.
