Software Engineer
Manage and oversee data operations for public health research, ensuring data quality, maintaining databases, and supporting project planning using REDCap, Excel, and statistical tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee data collection, storage, and processing across multiple research projects, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain and administer REDCap databases and Excel workbooks, creating data dictionaries and user guides.
- Perform data cleaning, validation, and statistical analysis to generate accurate reports for investigators and stakeholders.
- Develop and enforce data management policies, SOPs, and documentation to support reproducible research.
- Collaborate with researchers, external partners, and internal staff to troubleshoot data issues and improve workflows.
- Assist in project planning, progress tracking, and preparation of deliverables for grant reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Biostatistics, Information Management, or related field.
- Experience with REDCap and advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, macros, data validation).
- Strong understanding of data quality assurance, database design, and statistical analysis techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a part‑time, flexible schedule.
