Lead data engineering for a clinical AI platform that delivers continuous, proactive care to Medicare seniors with chronic conditions, leveraging Python, Machine Learning, AWS, and EMR integration to monitor vitals, surface risk, and optimize treatment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest and process real‑time vitals and EMR data for over 60 million Medicare seniors.
- Collaborate with data scientists to develop and deploy machine‑learning models that predict risk, surface early warning signals, and recommend medication adjustments.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations across all data assets.
- Integrate clinical intelligence outputs into existing EMR workflows, enabling clinicians to act on actionable insights during patient encounters.
- Lead a small team of data engineers, providing mentorship, code reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering within a healthcare or clinical AI environment.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) with a focus on data lake and warehouse solutions.
- Hands‑on experience building ML pipelines and deploying models in production.
- Strong understanding of EMR systems, HL7/FHIR standards, and healthcare data governance.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable clinical insights.
