Senior leader responsible for designing and executing a unified data governance framework across enterprise data platforms, ensuring trusted, compliant, and scalable data through platform‑driven, product‑aligned governance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement a comprehensive data governance strategy that aligns with the enterprise data platform and supports data product lifecycles.
- Establish and enforce data policies, standards, and controls across multiple data domains, ensuring data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Integrate governance processes directly into cloud‑based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift) and data catalog tools.
- Lead cross‑functional teams—including data engineers, analysts, and compliance officers—to embed governance into data pipelines and analytics workflows.
- Drive continuous improvement of metadata management, data lineage, and data stewardship practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related fields, with a proven track record of leading large‑scale governance initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of cloud data platforms, data cataloging, metadata management, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and building high‑performing governance teams.
- Hands‑on experience with data quality, data lineage, and data privacy tools.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related discipline.
