Data Governance Engineer responsible for designing and implementing Python-based data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, compliance, and AI-driven analytics across the organization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based data governance pipelines to enforce data quality, lineage, and compliance across multiple data sources.
- Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to integrate AI models into governance workflows, ensuring ethical and compliant model usage.
- Implement and monitor data cataloging, metadata management, and automated data profiling tools to support enterprise-wide data stewardship.
- Define and enforce data access policies, data masking, and encryption standards in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and training to cross-functional teams on data governance best practices and tool usage.
Requirements
- Proven experience building data pipelines and governance solutions using Python.
- Strong understanding of data governance concepts, metadata management, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Hands‑on experience with AI/ML model deployment and monitoring within data pipelines.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders.
