Entry‑level Data Flow Engineer responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, validating incoming files, automating monitoring, and normalizing external portfolio data using Python, SQL and API/FTP integrations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Import, validate, and ingest file deliveries for new clients, ensuring data quality and completeness.
- Develop and maintain automated daily monitoring and reporting processes to track pipeline health.
- Design and manage connections to external systems via REST APIs and FTP servers.
- Consume external portfolio data reliably and on schedule, supporting downstream analytics.
- Transform and normalize incoming datasets into the standardized Clearwater format for seamless intake.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to continuously improve auto‑reconciliation logic.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and data manipulation.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and transforming relational data.
- Experience building ETL pipelines and working with data validation frameworks.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and FTP protocols for data exchange.
- Ability to troubleshoot data quality issues and implement automated solutions.
