Software Engineer
Lead a data engineering team to design, build, and secure scalable data lake solutions on AWS and Azure, driving analytics and value creation across the organization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement enterprise‑grade data lake platforms on AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Lead a cross‑functional team of data engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of best practices.
- Collaborate with analytics, security, and business stakeholders to define data models, pipelines, and governance frameworks that support advanced analytics and reporting.
- Establish and enforce security controls, data privacy measures, and compliance standards throughout the data lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement by evaluating emerging cloud services, automation tools, and DevOps practices to accelerate delivery.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience building data lake solutions on AWS and/or Azure.
- Strong expertise in data engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, Databricks) and ETL/ELT pipeline design.
- Proven track record of leading technical teams and delivering large‑scale cloud projects.
- Deep understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or certifications a plus.
