Senior Data Engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure data pipelines and analytics platforms using Python, SQL, and AWS services, while ensuring compliance with stringent security clearance requirements.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Python and SQL across on‑prem and cloud environments.
- Implement data modeling, warehousing, and governance solutions on AWS (Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena).
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to enforce data protection standards and maintain active security clearance.
- Optimize query performance and troubleshoot data quality issues in large, complex datasets.
- Document architecture, processes, and best practices for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in Python, SQL, and AWS services.
- Proven track record of building secure, high‑throughput data pipelines and data warehouses.
- Experience with data governance, security compliance, and maintaining security clearances.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.
