Data Engineer with 5+ years experience designing and operating Snowflake‑based data warehouses on Azure, building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, and delivering robust analytics solutions using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and ADLS.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake data warehouse schemas, tables, and materialized views to support enterprise analytics.
- Build and orchestrate end‑to‑end ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks, ensuring data quality and performance.
- Implement data lake ingestion and storage strategies on Azure Data Lake Storage, integrating with Snowflake for downstream processing.
- Develop dimensional models and data marts, applying best practices in data warehousing and data modeling.
- Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines and warehouse performance in a hybrid environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in data engineering, with deep expertise in Snowflake and Azure data services.
- Proficiency in building ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
- Strong background in data modeling, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL, and related Azure ecosystem tools.
- Ability to write efficient SQL queries and scripts, and to optimize data pipelines for performance and cost.
