Data Engineer
Seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and optimise cloud‑based data pipelines, leveraging Python, SQL and AWS services while supporting agile delivery and delivering actionable insights for the organisation.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines on AWS using Python, SQL and orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
- Implement data modelling standards and create/optimise data warehouses to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional agile teams to translate business requirements into robust data solutions.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and improve data platform performance, ensuring data quality and reliability.
- Document architecture, processes and best practices to enable knowledge sharing across the team.
Requirements
- Proven experience building data pipelines in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
- Strong programming skills in Python and solid SQL proficiency for data extraction and transformation.
- Hands‑on experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or similar.
- Understanding of data modelling concepts and experience with relational/columnar databases.
- Ability to work in an agile setting, communicate effectively and deliver high‑quality solutions on schedule.
