Data Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of data pipelines and predictive models for actuarial analytics, leveraging Python, SQL, and AWS to deliver actionable insights and support risk assessment and pricing strategies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for actuarial datasets using Python and SQL.
- Build and validate machine learning models to forecast claim trends, pricing, and reserving.
- Collaborate with actuarial teams to translate business requirements into data solutions and model specifications.
- Deploy models and data services on AWS, ensuring performance, security, and compliance.
- Document data workflows, model assumptions, and validation results for audit and regulatory purposes.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with SQL-based data warehouses.
- Hands‑on experience with machine learning libraries (scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and model deployment.
- Proficiency in AWS services (S3, Redshift, SageMaker, Lambda) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Background in actuarial science or related quantitative field preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
