Data Engineer
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, and cloud services to support analytics and reporting for aerospace and defense projects.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy robust ETL pipelines to ingest and transform large volumes of structured and semi‑structured data.
- Design data models and schemas in Snowflake (or equivalent cloud data warehouse) to enable self‑service analytics.
- Implement workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow, ensuring reliable scheduling, monitoring, and alerting.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and domain experts to understand data requirements and deliver high‑quality data assets.
- Maintain code quality and version control using Git, and apply best practices for CI/CD in a cloud environment.
- Optimize performance and cost of data pipelines on AWS services such as S3, Lambda, and Redshift/Snowflake.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience building data pipelines with Python and SQL.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and data warehouse solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, or similar).
- Proficiency in workflow orchestration tools, preferably Apache Airflow.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, schema design, and data quality concepts.
- U.S. citizenship or eligible immigration status; ability to obtain required security clearance.
