Data Engineer
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and warehouses using Python, SQL, Airflow, and cloud services to enable analytics and reporting for aerospace and defense projects.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy robust ETL pipelines to ingest and transform large‑scale aerospace data sets.
- Design and optimize data models and schemas in Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouses.
- Implement workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow, ensuring reliability and monitoring of data jobs.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and domain experts to understand data requirements and deliver clean, consumable data.
- Maintain data security and compliance standards, adhering to U.S. citizenship and program access restrictions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, with strong Python and SQL proficiency.
- Hands‑on experience building ETL pipelines and using orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS) and data warehouse solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, or similar).
- Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning.
- U.S. citizenship or eligible immigration status required for program access.
