Data Engineer responsible for building and maintaining automated BI pipelines using Python, SQL, and Airflow, ensuring high-quality data flows into analytics platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines that ingest, transform, and load data into data warehouses.
- Automate BI processes using Python scripts and orchestration tools such as Airflow to deliver timely insights.
- Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to define data requirements and optimize reporting solutions.
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting to ensure reliability and accuracy of data assets.
- Document data models, pipeline logic, and best practices for future maintenance and onboarding.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Python, SQL, and ETL development.
- Hands‑on knowledge of data warehousing concepts and BI tools.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration (e.g., Airflow) and version control (Git).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English.
