Data Engineer
Hands‑on 12‑week internship building data pipelines, automating ETL, and deploying CI/CD workflows on AWS using Python, SQL, Airflow, and Docker to support a sustainable health‑care platform.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers to design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using Python and SQL.
- Orchestrate data workflows with Airflow, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for data and infrastructure code, leveraging Docker and GitHub Actions.
- Deploy and monitor data services on AWS (S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue).
- Participate in data quality, documentation, and best‑practice reviews.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related program.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Experience with data orchestration tools (Airflow preferred).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD concepts.
- Basic understanding of cloud services, especially AWS.
