Data Engineer
Data Engineer building and owning ELT pipelines, dimensional modeling, and orchestration in a cloud warehouse to support forecasting research on high‑stakes topics.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ELT pipelines from survey platforms and external data sources into a cloud data warehouse.
- Build and evolve a dimensional data model to support analysts and researchers.
- Implement and manage workflow orchestration and monitoring using tools such as Airflow.
- Collaborate closely with data analysts to understand requirements and deliver high‑quality datasets.
- Ensure data quality, lineage, and documentation across all pipelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience building ELT/ETL pipelines with Python and SQL.
- Hands‑on knowledge of cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift).
- Experience with workflow orchestration (Airflow or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
