About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines that ingest, transform, and store large volumes of tax-related data.
- Implement scalable ETL processes using Python and SQL, ensuring data quality and compliance with IRS security standards.
- Leverage AWS services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda) to build cloud-native data solutions and automate workflows.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide clean, well-documented datasets for fraud detection models.
- Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for cost and speed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with strong Python and SQL skills.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS data services and cloud architecture.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and ETL best practices.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, security‑focused environment.
