About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Teradata environments, managing servers, databases, partitions, tables, indexes, and storage structures to ensure system reliability and availability.
- Design and implement efficient ETL processes, optimizing data flows and transformations for large‑scale analytics workloads.
- Analyze and tune SQL queries, indexes, and database configurations to achieve optimal performance and reduce latency.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust data models and solutions.
- Document data architecture, processes, and best practices, ensuring knowledge transfer and compliance with governance standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on Teradata and SQL.
- Proven expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and database administration.
- Hands‑on experience with ETL tools and data modeling techniques.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
