Data Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of scalable Data Lakehouse solutions for military shipbuilding, leveraging Python, SQL, AWS, and Spark to deliver robust data pipelines and analytics.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop end‑to‑end data pipelines for large‑scale shipbuilding datasets using Data Lakehouse principles.
- Implement and maintain ETL processes with Python, SQL, and Apache Spark on AWS infrastructure.
- Design data models and schemas that support real‑time analytics and reporting for engineering teams.
- Collaborate with data scientists and domain experts to ensure data quality, lineage, and compliance with military standards.
- Optimize performance and cost of data storage and processing across the lakehouse ecosystem.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer in a complex, regulated environment.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark for large‑scale data processing.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR).
- Solid understanding of Data Lakehouse architecture and best practices.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
