Data Engineer
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures using Python, SQL, and cloud services to support analytics and reporting for a multi‑sector organization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement end‑to‑end data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and storage across on‑premise and cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to enable self‑service analytics.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data solutions.
- Optimize performance, reliability, and cost of data infrastructure using best practices in ETL, indexing, and partitioning.
- Establish data governance, security, and compliance standards, ensuring data quality and lineage.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data architecture roles.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and scripting.
- Hands‑on experience with ETL tools and frameworks such as Apache Spark, Airflow, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and related data services (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, Azure Synapse).
- Demonstrated ability to design scalable data models and data warehousing solutions.
