Data Engineer - CSG

CSG is looking for a data engineer to join the data analytics team. CSG Data Analytics team works across the multiple BSS / OSS products and solutions deployed globally to enterprise customers. We develop and deploy complex, dynamic, and convergent analytics solutions leveraging the latest data science, AI & ML technologies. Handling large complex datasets the data engineer is critical to successful analytics solutions. Our team enables clients to make actionable decisions on data insights to meet strategic and operational goals.

We are looking for a Data Engineer who will:

Generate and maintain complex data sets needed for analytics

Design and implement solutions to automatically extract, transform, and load data sets where needed

Create scripts, tools, or other software solutions

Understand business KPIs and translate to requirement definitions used in reporting

Monitor, Assist and Engineer solutions to resolve data issues from service desk

Identify areas for design and implementation improvement

Analyze and determine automation scripts and process to improve problem avoidance and early detection of incidents and problems.

Implement data warehouse solutions for specific clients, in a repeatable fashion, leveraging the platform where possible and enhancing it when necessary

Implementation of but not limited to data model design, ETL processing, data match and hygiene business rules, data auditing, profiling, and reporting

Collaborates with Data Scientists, Architects, and business teams to improve data streams that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility, and fostering educated decision making across the organization

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates with:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar degree

2+ years of Industry experience in a report development, data science, business analytics, business intelligence or comparable data engineering role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques, and technology

2+ years of solid Python programming skills to cleanse, manipulate, and present data, particularly using Pandas and Numpy

2+ Years of SQL. Must have the ability to write complex, highly optimized queries across large volumes of data

1+ years of experience creating business intelligence solutions.

Exposure to modern BI/Data Visualization Platform (e.g. Domo, Looker, Mode, Sisense, etc.)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with emphasis in understanding relationship of technical problems with business solutions/issues

Excellent English written and verbal communication skills

Solid knowledge of enterprise data modeling and architecture
