Data Engineer
Design and maintain BI data pipelines and reporting solutions, leveraging SQL, Python, Snowflake, Tableau, and AWS to deliver actionable insights for health insurance analytics.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and optimize ETL processes to ingest and transform data from multiple source systems into the data warehouse.
- Design and implement scalable data models in Snowflake to support self‑service analytics and reporting.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations in Tableau that enable business stakeholders to monitor key health insurance metrics.
- Collaborate with data analysts, product owners, and IT teams to define data requirements and ensure data quality and governance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, implementing improvements for reliability and cost efficiency on AWS.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or BI Engineer, with a strong focus on SQL and data modeling.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation.
- Hands‑on experience with Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouse) and ETL tools.
- Demonstrated ability to build Tableau dashboards and translate business needs into visual insights.
- Experience working with AWS services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Lambda) and implementing data security best practices.
