Data Engineer
Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and reporting solutions for a global engineering organization, creating Power BI dashboards, APIs, and robust data models to support compression engineering and product management initiatives.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data infrastructure supporting global engineering and product management workflows.
- Create, enhance, and publish interactive Power BI reports and dashboards for cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Build and manage ETL pipelines, data models, and APIs to enable seamless data exchange between internal systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and analysts to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Monitor data quality, performance, and reliability, implementing improvements and automation where needed.
Requirements
- Strong experience with SQL and relational databases for data extraction and transformation.
- Proficiency in Power BI development, including DAX, data modeling, and visualization best practices.
- Hands‑on experience building ETL processes and APIs, preferably using Python or similar scripting languages.
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices for large‑scale engineering data.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, global team environment.
