Data Engineer
Data Engineer responsible for building scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions for Prime Video’s product insights, leveraging Python, SQL, AWS services, and Spark to transform large volumes of streaming data into actionable intelligence.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines that ingest, transform, and load massive volumes of streaming and behavioral data into data warehouses and lakehouse environments.
- Collaborate with product analysts and data scientists to define data models, metrics, and dashboards that drive product decisions across the Prime Video ecosystem.
- Optimize data processing workflows using AWS services (Glue, Redshift, S3, Athena) and Spark to ensure high performance and cost efficiency.
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting to guarantee data integrity and reliability for downstream analytics.
- Document data architecture, pipeline logic, and best practices for internal teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on building production-grade data pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark for data transformation and orchestration.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS data services (Glue, Redshift, S3, Athena, EMR).
- Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning in large‑scale environments.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional team.
