Data Engineer II building end‑to‑end production pipelines on AWS to enable diagnostic and predictive analytics for Amazon Customer Service, leveraging Python, SQL and advanced ETL techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest, transform and store large volumes of customer service data on AWS.
- Collaborate with domain experts to translate analytical requirements into robust, production‑ready data models and workflows.
- Implement and optimize ETL processes using Python, SQL and AWS services such as Glue, Redshift, and S3.
- Ensure data quality, lineage, and compliance through automated testing, monitoring, and documentation.
- Partner with data scientists and analysts to support diagnostic and predictive analytics initiatives across global teams.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on AWS cloud services.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ETL tooling; experience with Spark or similar big‑data frameworks is a plus.
- Hands‑on experience building and maintaining data pipelines that support advanced analytics and machine learning workloads.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
