Data Engineer / AI Engineer building end‑to‑end data infrastructure and AI pipelines on AWS, crafting performant Python/SQL solutions, designing data models, and ensuring data quality for a growing analytics function.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL, prioritizing performance and maintainability.
- Architect data models within the centralized data platform, ensuring high data quality and consistency across analytics workloads.
- Implement and optimize ETL processes, leveraging AWS services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, and Lambda.
- Collaborate with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models, integrating them into production workflows.
- Document code, data flows, and best practices to enable knowledge transfer and future maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven experience building data infrastructure from scratch in a cloud environment (AWS preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with a track record of writing clean, reusable code.
- Hands‑on knowledge of data modeling, ETL design, and data quality assurance.
- Experience with machine learning pipelines and model deployment.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast‑moving contexts.
