Data Engineer
We are looking for a Data Engineer to design, build, and automate actuarial data pipelines, leveraging Python, SQL, and cloud technologies to modernize insurance processes and deliver actionable insights.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines that ingest, transform, and store actuarial data from multiple sources.
- Automate complex actuarial workflows using orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
- Implement data models and warehouses on cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure) to support reporting and analytics.
- Collaborate with actuarial analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance throughout the data lifecycle.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and pipeline development.
- Hands‑on experience with ETL design, data warehousing, and cloud services (Azure, Snowflake, or similar).
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and version control (Git) for reproducible deployments.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to understand actuarial concepts and translate them into automated data solutions.
