Software Engineer
Lead the design, delivery, and optimisation of data platforms that power workforce systems and service performance, driving insights through advanced analytics, cloud‑based pipelines, and visualisation tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the data strategy for workforce and service performance systems, aligning with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and warehouses on cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) to ingest, transform, and store large‑scale operational data.
- Partner with product, engineering, and analytics teams to translate business questions into robust data models and analytical solutions.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists, fostering a culture of data‑driven decision making and continuous improvement.
- Establish data governance, quality, and security standards to ensure reliable, compliant reporting and insights.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, modelling, and automation.
- Hands‑on experience designing and operating data platforms on AWS or GCP, including services such as Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Dataflow.
- Strong background in data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) and delivering actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with a track record of influencing cross‑functional teams.
