About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver on‑site first‑line technical support for servers, storage, and networking equipment in client data centres.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, operating system (Windows/Linux), and connectivity issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
- Utilize remote monitoring and ticketing tools to track incidents, document resolutions, and maintain accurate service records.
- Perform preventive maintenance, firmware updates, and hardware replacements to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and service teams to implement corrective actions and improve service processes.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing) and ability to troubleshoot connectivity problems.
- Experience with hardware diagnostics, server components, and peripheral devices.
- Knowledge of ITIL incident management or similar service‑delivery frameworks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in client environments.
