Hands‑on Data Center Technician responsible for component‑level repairs, troubleshooting server hardware and operating systems in third‑party data centers, ensuring uptime and reliability while meeting demanding physical and shift requirements.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Perform component‑level repairs and diagnostics on server hardware, networking equipment, and other data center infrastructure.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot operating system issues, firmware updates, and hardware failures to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, parts replaced, and system status for audit and compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with field service teams to schedule maintenance, coordinate parts inventory, and support on‑site deployments.
- Adhere to safety protocols, lift and move equipment up to 50 lb, and work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Proven experience in troubleshooting server hardware and operating systems.
- Strong technical aptitude for diagnosing and repairing complex equipment.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work non‑standard hours and shift‑based schedules.
