Data Center Technician - Engineering Field Services

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed hardware diagnostics and component‑level repairs on servers, storage arrays, and networking gear.
• Install, configure, and validate data security appliances such as firewalls, encryption modules, and intrusion detection systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network connectivity problems, collaborating with Cisco and other vendor support teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, installations, and configuration changes in the ticketing system.
• Ensure compliance with data center safety, security, and operational standards while working in third‑party facilities.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in data center hardware repair and network troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Cisco networking equipment and common data security hardware.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, power, cooling, and rack management.
• Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and follow detailed repair procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in remote locations.
