Lead on-site operations for a sovereign cloud platform, ensuring uptime, security, and compliance with BSI standards while managing maintenance, incident response, and documentation for a high‑availability data center.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring 99.99% uptime for the sovereign cloud platform.
- Implement and maintain BSI‑compliant security controls, including physical access, network segmentation, and audit readiness.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, hardware upgrades, and capacity planning with cross‑functional teams.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, network, and software incidents, escalating as needed to engineering teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and incident reports for compliance and operational continuity.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data center or site operations within a cloud or enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of BSI security standards and data protection regulations.
- Hands‑on experience with server hardware, networking, and monitoring tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
