Data Center Services Area Manager - Google

Key Responsibilities

• Direct end‑to‑end program and project management for multiple data center sites, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
• Lead cross‑functional teams—including engineering, construction, and operations—to design, build, and maintain mission‑critical facilities.
• Develop and enforce standards for facility reliability, safety, and performance across the region.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and procurement to support construction and ongoing operations.
• Mentor and develop senior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with at least 10 years of program or project management experience in data centers, chip fabs, or similar mission‑critical environments.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience overseeing large, complex engineering or construction programs.
• Strong background in facility engineering, construction management, and electrical/mechanical systems.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑disciplinary teams, budgets, and schedules in fast‑paced, high‑stakes settings.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with a track record of delivering results in a matrixed organization.
