Software Engineer
Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of high‑availability data center environments for critical infrastructure, ensuring uptime, security, and compliance while leveraging cloud and virtualization technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain physical and virtual data center infrastructure for mission‑critical services.
- Configure and manage networking components, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers to ensure optimal performance and redundancy.
- Oversee server provisioning, patching, and lifecycle management across on‑prem and cloud environments (AWS).
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response procedures to guarantee 99.99% availability.
- Collaborate with security teams to enforce hardening standards, access controls, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data center operations, preferably in critical infrastructure sectors.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, virtualization (VMware, KVM), and cloud platforms (AWS).
- Hands‑on experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios) and configuration management (Ansible, Terraform).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 environment.
- Effective communication skills in German and English.
